2020 MLK Day Celebration

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Paul’s letter to the Galatians, chapter 3:26-28

Galatians 3:26-28

It was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s dream to see a world where people were judged on the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Through his preaching and activism, he helped contribute mightily to that dream, influencing many people during his life and even more after his death to reconsider their prejudices and what it means to be one in Christ.

At LifeChurch Auburn Hills, celebrating Dr. King and his work to help others experience God’s desire for love and unity is part of who we are. On Monday, January 20, 2020, Lead Pastor Donearl Johnson will be leading and facilitating a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Auburn Hills Community Center for the entire Auburn Hills community. There will be breakfast, music, and a speech as well. After the breakfast, we will make “no-sew” blankets for the elderly in the community. Event time is 8:30-11:00am, but please help with setup and teardown if you can. Address is 1827 N Squirrel Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326.
