What's my capacity at LifeChurch Auburn Hills?
Being a church plant, we at LifeChurch Auburn Hills are seeking a variety of people in different capacities to bring this new church into existence. We define capacity as your capability for helping launch a new church multiplied by your availability. To help you determine your capacity within LifeChurch Auburn Hills, we have five different capacity markers:
Staff / Volunteer Staff
Staff at LifeChurch Auburn Hills, whether paid or unpaid, gives at least 15 hours per week to organizing and leading others as we prepare weekly services.
Launch Team Member
Launch team members commit themselves through the 2019 calendar year to pray continually for the church, faithfully attend meetings and gatherings, volunteer regularly (at least twice per month in weekly services), invest spiritually in the lives of at least one other person, and give a percentage gift to LifeChurch Auburn Hills on a regular basis. Launch Team Members view LifeChurch Auburn Hills as their home church, even though they understand there is much work to be done in order for us to become a community that can serve their needs well. Launch team members seek to serve first, and to be served by the church second.
Launch Team Supporter
Launch Team Supporters commit themselves to helping Launch Team Members, especially volunteer team leaders, of LifeChurch Auburn Hills throughout the calendar year of 2019. While Launch Team Supporters are not asked to faithfully attend gatherings and meetings, they are asked to serve 1-2 times per month in a regular role to ease the load of our Launch Team Members. Launch Team Supporters may have another home church, but feel led to serve LifeChurch Auburn Hills as a shorter-term commitment during the launch phases in 2019. Launch Team Members are asked to consider making regular donations, but they are not required and should not be at the expense of giving to their home church communities should they have them. Launch Team Supporters will receive all the email, phone, and text communication of the Launch Team Members, including prayer requests, so they are in the know, and are expected to reply in a timely fashion to assist Launch Team Members and volunteer team leaders informed of how they can serve.
Friend of LifeChurch Auburn Hills
We believe friends are there when you need them. Friends of LifeChurch Auburn Hills make contributions to our church plant three ways:
1. Prayer for the community. When there is a prayer need that we desire a wide network of people praying, Friends of LifeChurch Auburn Hills would be notified to pray in their own way and time for that need.
2. Volunteering based on availability and need. When our regular volunteer teams cannot staff the area of need, Friends of LifeChurch Auburn Hills will receive communication asking for their help. This will often be 1-3 days before the opportunity, so it will be limited to last minute availability.
3. Occasional or one-time financial gifts.Friends of LifeChurch Auburn Hills will receive communication about one-time or infrequent financial needs, such as donating to campaigns to help us purchase equipment related to audio visual needs, trailers, signage, and any other start up related cost. Friends of LifeChurch Auburn Hills are not expected to give, but offer themselves to be asked to contribute.
Friends of LifeChurch Auburn Hills will receive mass communication from LifeChurch Auburn Hills, such as prayer requests, regular emails, and occasional individual messages related to volunteering and giving as described above. Friends of LifeChurch Auburn Hills are not expected to regularly attend meetings or gatherings.
Visitor
Every church needs visitors! Visitors play an important role in the life of a church plant, and we want you to know we value your ability just to come and be a part! Visitors to LifeChurch Auburn Hills will receive communication via email and social media, and will receive communication from our staff or launch team members if they fill out connection cards or online RSVPs.
