The Jesse Tree Advent Devotional

Look outside and you probably notice the seasons are changing. We’ve got snow on the ground, the trees are bare, and Christmas music is everywhere. But seasons are about more than just the weather. Many Christians celebrate special seasons that come with their own rituals and significance. And Sunday, November 29th, marks the beginning of the Advent season. Many of us can remember (or maybe still feel!) that feeling of excitement in the weeks leading to Christmas — we eagerly anticipated the celebrations, the songs, and probably most of all, the presents! Advent is all about the same eager anticipation — but instead of the promise of a brand new toy under the tree, the hope of Advent is the arrival of Jesus into our world and the promise of new life in him.

We invite you and your family to join us this Advent season in a simply daily devotional that will help you prepare for the celebration of Christmas. There are many great advent devotionals out there, but if you’re looking for one, take a look at The Jesse Tree Advent Devotional below. The Jesse Tree uses daily scripture readings, questions for reflection, and visual element — a Christmas tree and ornaments — to tell the story of hope found in Jesus. You can download the Jesse Tree devotional using the link below and find more instructions about how to use this to remember the story of Jesus!
